Volunteer opportunities are currently full September 2025 through February 2026 for this location. Applications are being accepted for dates through April 2026.
We strive to schedule rebuild projects four months in advance. Use the calendar to request dates. Once scheduling opens for your requested dates, if we are able to schedule your trip, we will reach out to you to discuss availability. If all volunteer positions are filled by the time we reach you in this list you will receive an email update.
Location: Maui, Hawaii
Available Dates: Individuals and teams who would like to schedule a trip should submit an application. Once your dates are requested a volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss scheduling. Our goal is to honor all requests; however due to limited availability you may not be scheduled for your requested dates or team size. This will be discussed during your scheduling call.
Length of Stay: Minimum stay of one week, arriving Sunday evening and departing Saturday morning. Maximum stay of two weeks.
Maximum Team Size: 8 (a team is made up of 2 or more individuals)
Minimum Age: Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or older. Youth, ages 14-15, must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian and youth, ages 16-17, must be accompanied by an adult chaperone unless the team is registered as a youth group. Youth groups may serve with Samaritan’s Purse and are required to complete a Youth Leader Covenant. For Overnight volunteers, youth must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian or chaperone of the same gender, to provide the presence of an adult chaperone with them in the sleeping quarters. Project Description: Volunteers will assist in rebuilding homes in the Maui, HI area. No skills are necessary prior to serving. Staff will instruct and guide volunteers through completion of rebuild tasks.
Additional Information: Volunteers will schedule their own flights into Kahului, HI. Samaritan’s Purse will provide ground transportation after arrival. Meals and sleeping quarters will be provided. Volunteers need to bring personal hygiene items. Tools will be provided, but volunteers may bring their own tool belts and small hand tools.
